Step 1

If you do not already order your local paper you may consider doing so. If however you do not read the paper regularly you may consider ordering just the Sunday paper.

Some newspaper's offer an option of only receiving the Sunday paper at a steep discount. This saves you time and gas because you will no longer have to go out and buy the Sunday paper.

Step 2

When you get your Sunday paper look for the coupon's. Cut out the coupons that you know you will use and also those that you are interested in but not sure you will use.

Step 3

Organize the coupons that you know you will use (Frozen Food, Dairy, Hygiene, etc) and put them in the envelope and label it Grocery Coupons.

Step 4

Chances are the coupons that you are interested in are for items like make-up, hair products, etc. These coupons would be more valuable at a place like Target where these items would be cheaper than the grocery store. Put these coupons in your wallet or purse for convince.

Step 5

Look online at website like coupon.com. Find your coupons and print them out. Organize them as described above.

Step 6

Check your mailbox on Tuesday or Wednesday you should receive Grocery store adds.

Compare the adds with the coupons you have to see which store offers the most savings for your needs and wants.

Try to shop at stores that double coupons when at all possible.

Step 7

Wait until Thursday (or after) to do your grocery shopping. Grocery store adds go into effect on Wednesdays. This can be a crowded time to shop.

Step 8

Go shopping and don't forget to bring your coupon's and your add with all your circled items.

Step 9

Look for buy one get one free items, or 2 for $3.00 etc. If you have a coupon for an item but don't need it use it anyway and stock up it will save you in the long run.

+++ Example: a 50 cent coupon on Peanut Butter. The Peanut butter is on sale, buy one get one free. The price it $4. Your coupon is doubled to $1. Your final price is $3. That is $1.50 per jar of peanut butter saving you a total of $5. Not bad for one 50 cent coupon and some savvy shopping.

Step 10

If you haven't already sign up for the stores member rewards (savings) program. Not only will this save you money but occasionally the store may send you special coupons for members only
